This week I got back from a month roaming Peru, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. It was absolutely fantastic being able to see Machu Picchu with my own eyes, wandering the halls of Museo de Larco with its 45,000 Peruvian artifacts, cruising the Tigre River delta, walking through Rio de Janeiro's Jardim Botanica, and actually swimming at the Copacabana beach (complete with coconut water straight from a coconut!). Stay tuned!

Hey, did I miss anything interesting the last two classes?
We painted a still life. Fran set up some scenes with contrasting colours. Oranges and mandarins paired with blue glass bottles, Red capsicum next to green capsicums, eggplants next to lemons, stuff like that. It's a slow start, we haven't learnt anything ground-breaking. It's all about the practice really, building our skills up before we move onto interesting other things and styles I reckon.
